Facebook Indexing: Are you Ready To Be Googled?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 |

Facebook Indexing: Are You Ready To Be Googled? – There isn’t much privacy in social media nowadays. Have you noticed that Facebook has been trying to get your most attention regarding changes on privacy settings? A pop-up window will come up after you have logged-in. So if you are a facebook user, pay attention. Prepared to be indexed in the world of Google.

facebookFacebook is now in the process of “indexing” your personal information you have posted and saved. So what is web indexing? – A simple way to make information on a web site easier to find – People you might not even know may find you or even can see your thoughts you have shared in your account. Best to stop saying bad or horrible things about others, dumb-ass things you and your friends said to each other or even take personal quizzes with your self information can be more searchable you have ever imagined. This will be opened to some search engines such as Google and Bing that you have no access to control.

So, how will you protect your account on Facebook? I mean yourself…yeah yourself.

Go to your Facebook account. Find and click the Settings menu. Go to Privacy Settings and then “Search” – and from there toggle the option that allows indexing.

Why is Facebook doing these stuff?

Twitter recently deal with Bing to index tweets. So Facebook could be more competitive than Twitter if they would do the same, indexing. Providing users not to tweet anymore when their status update in Facebook can be now seen more in public.

It’s not a good idea. This is the time to change some private information in your settings and profiles before a stranger sees your private phone numbers, your complete home addresses or even your butt exposed images.

US Open 2009: Federer Stunned By Del Potro

Thursday, September 17th, 2009 |

Yes. Roger Federer was stunned and got dramatic when the best tennis player finally lost the recent US Open held in New York.  Not by Rafael Nadal or Andy Roddick, but the power-handed rocket of Juan Martin Del Potro. I’ve been a fan of Federer since i started to like watching tennis games on tv usually on Starsports. I opened the teli this morning and watched the game, it was a replay and didn’t catch the live telecast last Tuesday.

Still can’t imagine why Federer lost the game by this argentinian guy, lol. His five straight year winning the title has ended and as you can see it on Roger’s face, Too bad. On the other hand, an emotional Juan Martin got down to his knees after claiming his victory.

I was really dissapointed with the play and observed that Federer only gave his 50% of his strikes throughout the game, yay.
