Apple Tablet: The iPad Features & Images

Saturday, January 30th, 2010 |

Have you heard about the iPad? Well, obviously it’s the talk of the web recently. Apple has announced its latest creation, the iPad.

So what does the IPad do that is so special? So basically, we are just talking about a big iPhone or iPod Touch here. They got the same basic features of IPhone. This includes the big touchscreen and the Home Key at the bottom – only super sized phone. The operating system is similar to the iPhone and also uses Safari web browser. This device has a backlit LED display with on-screen comparable to a giant iPhone keyboard. To access your emails, photo images and other resources, users can scroll and flick through to open the applications.

Aside from web surfing, playing games, video streamings and listening to music, you can also download books, magazines and newspapers by using the iBooks application.

IPad Details

The iPad is 0.5″ thin, weighs 1.5 pounds and has a 9.7 inch IPS touch screen display. It comes with a minimum of 16 GB flash storage with the options of 32GB and 64 GB of flash storage. The iPad has 10 hours of battery life and is capable of holding a charge for a month on standby.
During the iPad demonstration on January 27, 2010, Scott Forstall explained that the iPad will use the same apps that are available at the App Store. He demonstrated how the apps can either be used as-is or enlarged by doubling the screen. iPad accessories include an iPad dock, an optional stand-alone iPad keyboard and an iPad carrying case.

This is a view of the iPad's 9.7" display screen, the back of the official iPad and a side view showing how thin the 0.5" device is.

Nexus One – Latest Android-Powered Phone from Google

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 |

Google’s upcoming debut release of the Android-powered Nexus One - The first ever phone to be directly marketed by Google. Over the past weeks, photos of this Google Phone started popping everywhere, and now it’s official. It won’t be sold by any one carrier, but instead will be an unlocked GSM phone. Nexus One showcases the latest generation of a Linux-based open source Android OS.

Android is a software platform for mobile devices based on the Linux operating system and developed by Google.

About the Phone:nexus-one

The Nexus One has a 1-GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 display, 512 MB of of RAM and an expandable 4-GB microSD card. The 1-GHz processor alone should make the Nexus one of the fastest smartphones available currently. With a a 5-megapixel camera, LED,  Wi-Fi connectivity, accelerometer, compass and proximity sensors that completes an ideal phone. It is also reportedly extremely thin, slimmer than iPhone. Nexus One will run Android 2.1, the latest verion operating system but still this version has a lot of “bug fixes” –  hope that there’s more versions of the OS.

Still don’t have any idea about the pricing, no announcement yet I assumed.

Take a look at the image for now. Nexus One Google Phone

How To Get A Google Verification PIN?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 |

A lot of people ask if how long does it take to have the Google PIN verification. Well today I got this post mail from Google with the verification PIN enclosed. It took only 15 days from the time they informed me that they have already sent an information account on my google adsense. The question is how can one get a Google Adsense PIN? If you reach the $10 threshold, Google will send an account information which is the PIN thru post mail.

Yey I can now receive payments from Google ’cause I have already verified my account.

Customizing Desktop

Saturday, August 29th, 2009 |

Have you tried to enhance and cutomize your desktop screen lay-out? My friend encouraged me to do some desktop customization into a graphically stunning lay-out with awsome wallpapers applied – adding some mini-applications and widgets on it. Using some programs wherein you can apply whatever theme you want to put on your screen. Downloading Avedesk and Rainmeter which both can add a pleasing look and displays in a different format  in your screens in various features that fits your mood. You can also choose on either Rocketdock or Objectdock in organizing your desktop short cut icons.

Here are some print-screen samples from Raymond Pura’s personal computer.
